In an age when virtual reality is rapidly replacing real experiences, children need to breath fresh air and play in green spaces more than ever. Your students will connect with the natural world as they participate in hands-on, outdoor learning at the Garden.
The Education Department at Memphis Botanic Garden has taken great care to incorporate your teaching objectives into all of our tours and special programs. Learning about ecological systems happens in ways that are not possible in the classroom.
In addition to plant science, the Memphis Botanic Garden offers hands-on programs on world ecosystems, multicultural studies, historical uses of plants, art in nature, environmental issues, and more. Learning at the Garden is fun, as well as educational! All classes include exciting and educational activities that make your students' visit one they won't soon forget.
New this Fall! Creep, Crawl, Flutter or Fly your way to MBG this fall to see David Rogers’ Big Bugs. These larger than life bugs sculptures are created using various trees to give each bug it’s unique character. These big bugs are the perfect backdrop for all of our buggy programs! Don’t miss this limitedtime program!
