The Sensory Garden is tucked just off the Great Lawn. This special space has a tranquil energy and acts as a microcosm of the whole Garden with its mix of features and plantings. If you have limited time, this is a great pick to see a snapshot of plant diversity.
The main path through The Woodlands is often overlooked as a passthrough to other gardens, but slow down on your next journey through this representation of a temperate deciduous forest biome. Enjoy the shade of this Oak-Hickory forest, keep an eye out for wildlife, and see how many different species of plants you can spot, including native hydrangeas blooming now.
Although we love the Japanese Garden for its year-round tranquility and the Four Seasons Court for its seasonal rotation of color and interest, other less-visited gardens are wonderful to explore. From bee and butterfly-loving blooms in the Pollinator Garden to the flourishing vegetables in the Delta Garden, this area offers unique points of interest beyond plants. Don't miss the Delta House and Living Gazebo for some great photo ops.
