The Buzz

From the Director

Welcome to the new web site for the Memphis Botanic Garden and thanks for visiting our blog. This will be an ongoing feature of the web site and will be another effort for us to keep garden enthusiasts more informed.

Even though there is always something interesting and beautiful to view at the Garden, April and May are two of our most beautiful months. Dogwoods, Azaleas, Hydrangeas, Iris, and  Day Lilies are just a few of the colorful offerings blooming right now.

If you are a tree person, an interesting activity is to take a self-guided tree tour. Pick up a tree map at the front desk and find the numbered trees throughout the grounds. The Garden is certified as a Level 4 Arboretum, the highest class possible, so this tree activity should keep you busy for a few hours.

The garden is constantly evolving, so you should never get bored visiting time and time again. Thanks for stopping by, and check back often for more news and updates.
