In the age of advancing
technology, DSLR cameras are starting to come with more bells than a
caroling troupe; but for all their advancement cameras still don’t have
the key element needed to take stellar photos… human creativity. In the
first of this three-part course we will cover the vital settings that go
into capturing an image; ISO, White Balance, Metering, Focus, Shutter
Speeds, Aperture, and more. In the second session, we will go out into
the Garden and take pictures in RAW mode using the Aperture Priority and
Full Manual settings. In the third and final session, we will cover
post-production editing using Adobe Lightroom (30-day free trial
available on Adobe’s website). This course requires students to come
equipped with a DSLR camera, tripod, and a laptop with Adobe Lightroom
installed (laptop needed for third session only, instructor will have a
limited number of tripods to loan to students in need).
Fee for all 3
sessions: MBG members $195/non-members $225. First 2 sessions only:
Members $130/non-members $150. Third session (post-production) only:
Members $65/non-members $75.
