Pop-Up Plant Sale - One day Only!

The Memphis Botanic Garden’s greenhouse manager and grower, Manny Pailet, is extremely dedicated to his plants, even planning his vacation times around when particular plants need special attention in order to be at their best.

With help from volunteers like Anne Knapp, who has volunteered on and off for the past ten years, Pailet has timed many varieties to be in bloom just for our Pop-Up Plant Sale that will be held on October 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“We have been grooming the plants, getting them all together in one spot, and going through them one by one to see what we can sell. We then price the plants and line up more volunteers to help us with the actual sale. We have about 4 to 5 volunteers most days, but there are never enough. and we are always looking for more people to volunteer,” says Knapp.

Presented by Wright Medical Technology, Inc., this year’s Fall Plant Sale will be a one-day-only event featuring an exclusive and diverse collection of plants cultivated in our very own greenhouse and nursery. These plants, which are used on the Garden’s grounds and indoor facilities, are selected for their unique features, healthiness, and hardiness. Garden staff and volunteers who work with these plants daily will be on hand during the sale to guide you on selection and plant care tips.
