Perfect time to visit The Live Garden

The Live Garden looks especially beautiful this summer. This spacious grassy area of the TruGreen Lawn is not only the perfect setting for many of our Garden events, but also an inviting space for visitors to enjoy a picnic day under the tall trees or near the lake that borders the east side.

The west side of the area features a long pathway known as the IP Living Wall. It is a dramatic display of annual flowers that stand out in the distance for their color and harmony. These have a background of tall perennial plantings that seem to move along with the movement of the wind. My favorite planting this year has been the coneflowers in shades of orange, red, and yellow. This variety of Echinacea is called ‘Cheyenne Spirit’.

At the end of the pathway and the wide grassy area there rises as a gigantic music box an architectural stage designed for the space that transforms the concert evenings and nights into an unforgettable experience. I hope you will come out to enjoy this lovely garden, day or night, in August.
