Most people think of the Spring when they consider visiting the Memphis Botanic Garden but if they do, they are missing the wonderful offerings of Fall at the Garden.
Late afternoon especially is nice because the light from the West adds a special glow to the ground and for some reason, the smells of the garden seem to accelerate during this time. Whether you are visiting the woodlands, wandering through the year old Herb Garden that is taking on a special flavor, or merely sitting on a bench by the lake, this is truly a magnificent place.
A long time Garden supporter told me on Saturday that the Garden has never looked better than it does now.
Bottom line, if you do not have a visit to the Garden planned for October and early November, you are missing a real treat.
Come see us and also check out our web site at www.memphisbotanicgarden.com for information on the many special events that we have planned.
Thanks for all your previous interest and support.--- Jim
