In this workshop, students will learn to make three different woven pieces. Project 1 is a flat pendant woven on a frame with mixed metals (sterling silver and copper). Project 2 is a woven copper cuff –the cuff is woven flat and a mandrel is used to shape it once it’s all put together. Project 3 is an adjustable fine silver and sterling ring.

The class kit ($40- payable to instructor at the class time) includes all the materials needed to make one of each type of project. Extra kits for each of the projects will be available for purchase from the instructor. The class fee includes full-color, step by step instructions for each project, so more pieces can be made easily at home.

All the heavy-hitting tools for this class are provided for use-mandrels, hammers, and more. If you have the following tools, please bring them to cut down on sharing: Jewelry files, Jewelry pliers, steel block, and rawhide/nylon mallet. 901-636-4128 for more information or to register. $55 MBG members/$70 non-members (plus $40 supply fee).

Face masks are required and class size is limited to encourage social distancing.
