This course is for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of tree identification, function, evaluation, and maintenance. This course also provides preparatory information and/or review for students who wish to take the “Certified Arborist Examination” designated by the International Society of Arboriculture’s certification program. Some of the topics to be covered are tree biology, soil properties, water management, nutrition and fertilization, tree pruning, selection, disease and problem diagnosis. Required Text: “Certified Arborist Study Guide” available thru the Vermeer Dealership located in Cordova, TN. 1-901-758-1928 or thru the I.S.A. bookstore. Other text available but not required, can be purchased thru the I.S.A. bookstore.

Applications and proper payment for the exam must be received only in the I.S.A. office no later than twelve working days before a scheduled exam. NO LATE PAYMENTS ACCEPTED.
