Joseph Mallord William Turner, British, 1775-1851, is frequently referred to as "the painter of light." Participants will study this visionary artist's technical brilliance and imaginative use of color that transformed the genre of landscape painting and inspired generations of artists. Using modern materials, students will learn to depict Turner's dazzling combination of light, color, and atmosphere.
