Description:

The Japanese New Year's "Chaji," is a formal, long form of tea ceremony, which includes a traditional "kaiseki" meal (small portions of many different foods) prepared by the members of The Way of Tea in Tennessee. The kaiseki meal is followed by preparation and serving of "thick" tea and "thin" tea, accompanied by Japanese sweets. In Japan, this is a very important way of celebrating the new year during the month of January.

Visitors are invited to participate in this beautiful, traditional Japanese celebration.

MBG members $20/non-members $25.

Call Patti Lechman at 521-9916 for information and reservations, or e-mail Kentaro Ohkuni at kentaro.ohkuni@gmail.com.
